The fourth week

Day 22

Maisie and I arrived home from our Devon trip to find that our brickwork has been cleaned up.

Day 23

Just look at this fantastic sunrise

Day 24

Enjoying a bit of weekend reading . . . .

Day 25

. . . and some wine

Day 26

A trip to the dentist in this lovely, fairly recently opened health centre, and as it was just a check-up and nothing needed doing, I almost enjoyed it.

Day 27

The blanket for GO and EG is almost finished

Day 28

Should I offer my proof-reading services to this company?

Week Three

Day 15

I've started to make my very first string of bunting

Day 16

Came across this outside a shop in Chinn's Court, which used to be a butcher's yard.

Day 17

The jigsaw puzzle is complete

Day 18.

This is Maisie, all ready for our trip to deepest, darkest Devon. And look at the brickwork, while I'm away it will be cleaned up - keep an eye open for Day 22.

Day 19

The view from the kitchen window of the house where I am staying - the roof you can see is a summerhouse, not a neighbour.

Day 20

Walking the dogs with my cousin.

Day 21

I stopped in Honiton on my way back home, and saw this outside the toyshop

The second week

Day 8.

Time for a haircut (GM's, not mine)

Day 9.

Second week at Slimming World, and I'm 2lbs lighter

Day 10.

Someone has a new (second-hand) bike - again, not mine

Day 11.

It's very unusual for us not to have finished our Christmas jigsaw puzzle by the end of the first week of January! This one is hard.

Day 12.

This hyacinth smells divine

Day 13.

This IS mine

Day 14.

Another treat for me

The First Week

Day 1

New Years Day, and I'm pleased to announce that I didn't drink a whole bottle of wine last night!

 Day 2

And so onto my first positive step of 2015, I've enrolled at Slimming World.

Day 3

Second positive step, I've made a start on sorting my wardrobes.

 Day 4

I made an early morning trip out to the chalet at the end of the garden, and was really delighted to see how warm and inviting my kitchen looks from outside.

 Day 5

This picture may not look very exciting to you, but to me it is the beginning of the end of the kitchen works, the new piece of solid wood worktop has received its first coat of wood oil.

Day 6

Mother Nature knows that spring isn't too far away

 Day 7

This is the year that we tackle the garden, I wonder where these lovely pebbles, which are currently sitting in a pile at the side of the house, will end up.
