'Twas on a Friday morning the BT man came to call

How many workmen does it take to stare into a hole in the ground?

This is how I felt yesterday - as if I was looking at the world through a cobweb.
Feeling so much more positive today.

A tribute to pre-Victorian engineering
The Kennet and Avon Canal was built in the late 18th and early 19th Centuries, and this particular bridge (at Burbage on the main A346 from Marlborough to Salisbury) was built in approx 1800, when the only traffic to cross it would have been horse-drawn.

I spotted this man yesterday while at the bus stop. I would have liked to have shown you his full face, but I wasn't brave enough to let him know I was snapping him. Suffice to say that he looked fairly old, well older than me by some margin, I would guess - except its even more difficult for me to tell these days! His entire face - eyebrows, nose, ears, chin etc. - was covered with piercings, weird. Dont get me wrong, I'm open-minded and really dont mind what people choose to do to themselves to enhance their appearance, but this really looked scary to me!

Oh and by the way, its not cheating, as the second picture is only an enlargement of the first. Click on the picture to get a real close-up of what I'm talking about.
